These Terms & Conditions govern your use of The CPD Verification Centre ("we", "us", "our") and the verification services we provide. By using our website or submitting any activity for verification, you agree to these Terms.
1. About Our Service
The CPD Verification Centre provides independent verification of CPD activities. Verification confirms that an activity aligns with recognised CPD principles. It does not certify factual accuracy, legal compliance, professional suitability, or organisational quality.
2. Your Responsibilities
You agree to:
- Provide complete, truthful, and up-to-date information.
- Supply all materials in English.
- Ensure you have full rights to use any content submitted.
- Notify us of any significant changes to your organisation or activities.
- Use verification marks only as permitted under these Terms.
You remain fully responsible for the content you produce, publish, or deliver.
3. Verification Process
Our verification process may include:
- Reviewing structure, clarity, learning outcomes, and CPD relevance.
- Assessing whether the activity aligns with recognised CPD principles.
- Requesting additional information where required.
We may pause or decline verification if information is incomplete or unsuitable.
Verification applies only to the specific activity submitted — not your organisation, trainers, or any other materials.
4. Verification Outcome
If approved, you will receive:
- A CPD Verification Centre activity badge
- A unique verification reference
- Optional listing on our public verification register
You may use the badge only for the verified activity. You must not use the badge on learner certificates unless explicitly permitted.
Verification does not imply endorsement, accreditation, or approval of your organisation.
5. Duration & Renewal
Verification is granted for a period of 12, 24, or 36 months, depending on the option selected at the time of application.
If you make significant changes to the content, delivery method, structure, or learning outcomes of a verified activity during the verification period, we may require a new review to ensure the activity still meets recognised CPD principles.
You may renew verification at the end of your chosen term by submitting the activity for reassessment.
6. Fees & Payment
Fees are displayed on our website or provided during application.
- Fees must be paid before review begins.
- Fees are non-refundable once any review work has started.
- If you cancel before work begins, a full refund may be issued.
- Non-payment may result in suspension or withdrawal of verification.
7. Suspension & Withdrawal
We may suspend or withdraw verification if:
- Submitted materials are inaccurate, misleading, or significantly changed.
- Required information is not provided.
- Fees remain unpaid.
- Verification marks are misused.
If verification is withdrawn, you must immediately stop using all related marks.
8. Intellectual Property
Our verification badges, marks, and branding remain our property.
You may use them only as permitted under these Terms.
All materials you submit remain your property. You confirm you have the rights to use and share them.
9. Content Accuracy, Legal Compliance & Provider Liability
The CPD Verification Centre reviews CPD activities for structure, clarity, accessibility, and alignment with recognised CPD principles. We do not verify, audit, assess, or guarantee the factual accuracy, technical correctness, legal compliance, professional suitability, or safety of any content submitted for verification.
9.1 Provider Responsibility
You acknowledge and agree that:
- all content, claims, statements, guidance, advice, and materials submitted are created, owned, and controlled solely by you
- you are fully responsible for ensuring your content is accurate, lawful, up-to-date, and compliant with all applicable legislation, regulations, and industry standards
- you are solely responsible for any consequences arising from the use, delivery, or publication of your content
- you must update your materials whenever laws, best practice, or professional guidance change
- you must ensure all trainers delivering your content are competent, qualified, and appropriately insured
We accept no liability for any errors, omissions, inaccuracies, misleading statements, outdated information, unsafe advice, or any loss, damage, or claim arising from your content.
9.2 Intellectual Property
You confirm that:
- all submitted materials are original or properly licensed
- you hold all necessary rights, permissions, and licences
- your content does not infringe any third-party intellectual property rights
We accept no responsibility for any intellectual property disputes, claims, or infringements connected to your materials.
9.3 No Professional, Regulatory, or Legal Guarantee
Verification by The CPD Verification Centre does not:
- confirm legal compliance
- validate professional accuracy
- guarantee safety or suitability
- certify regulatory alignment
- equate to qualification-level recognition
- replace professional or legal advice
You must obtain independent legal, regulatory, or professional guidance where required.
9.4 Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, The CPD Verification Centre shall not be liable for:
- any direct, indirect, or consequential loss
- reputational damage
- financial loss
- regulatory action
- professional disputes
- claims made by learners, clients, regulators, or third parties
- issues arising from inaccurate, incomplete, misleading, unsafe, or unlawful content
Your use of our verification marks does not transfer any responsibility for your content to us.
10. Data & Privacy
We process your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
By submitting materials, you consent to us storing and reviewing them for verification purposes.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of our services indicates acceptance of any updated version.
