Appeals Policy
1. Purpose
The CPD Verification Centre Ltd recognises the right of applicants to appeal accreditation decisions where they believe a decision has been made incorrectly or unfairly.
This policy provides a clear and transparent process for handling appeals.
2. Scope
This policy applies to:
- Accreditation refusals
- Accreditation conditions imposed upon approval
- Accreditation withdrawals or suspensions
3. Grounds for Appeal
An appeal may be submitted where an applicant believes that:
- Relevant evidence was not considered.
- Procedures were not followed correctly.
- A factual error influenced the decision.
- New information has become available.
Disagreement with a decision alone does not automatically constitute grounds for appeal.

The appeal should include:

The appeal will be reviewed independently where possible by an individual who was not involved in the original assessment.
Stage 3: Outcome
A written outcome will normally be provided within 28 days.
Possible outcomes include:
- Original decision upheld
- Decision amended
- Reassessment required
5. Record Keeping
All appeal records will be retained securely in accordance with the Data Protection Policy.
6. Review
This policy will be reviewed annually.
